Looking for family solicitor jobs in Essex? Pearl Baker Solicitors is recruiting two Family Law Solicitors to join its friendly team in Rayleigh: one solicitor with 1–4 years’ PQE and one senior solicitor with 6+ years’ PQE. Both positions offer full-time or part-time hours, hybrid working and genuine opportunities for career progression.

📋 The Role
Managing a varied and high-quality caseload, you will deliver practical, commercially aware, and empathetic advice to clients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Caseload Management: Overseeing divorce, financial remedies, cohabitation disputes, pre-/post-nuptial agreements, and private children matters.
- High-Net-Worth Support: Supporting the Principal on complex, high-value cases involving HNW individuals.
- Client Advocacy: Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
- Relationship Building: Maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to the growth of the department.
👤 About You
We are looking for a client-focused professional with a collaborative mindset. To be considered, you should have:
- Qualification: A qualified Solicitor with 1–4 years’ PQE specifically in Family Law.
- Experience: Proven experience handling matrimonial finance, children, and cohabitation matters.
- Skills: Strong analytical abilities, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage a busy caseload effectively.
- Approach: A professional, personable, and deeply empathetic approach to client care.
💰 Benefits & Culture

- Salary: Circa £45,000 p.a. (dependent on experience).

PRIVATE CLIENT

- Caseload Management: Overseeing the drafting of wills, estate administration, probate, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney (LPAs).
- High-Net-Worth Support: dealing with complex, high-value matters involving inheritance tax planning, asset protection, Trust advice and HNW individuals.
- Client Contact: Guiding executors, beneficiaries, and trustees through complex legal frameworks with sensitivity.
- Relationship Building: Maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to the growth of the private client department.
👤 About You
We are looking for a client-focused professional with a collaborative mindset. To be considered, you should have:
- Qualification: A qualified Solicitor with 6 + years’ PQE specifically in Private Client work.
- Experience: Proven experience handling probate, estate administration, wills, and equity/trusts.
- Skills: Strong technical legal knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage a busy caseload effectively.
- Approach: A professional, personable, and deeply empathetic approach to client care during sensitive times.

- Salary: Circa £55-60,000 p.a.(pro rata) (dependent on experience).
